Marcel-Henri Verdren studied at the architecture department at ENSAAV (Ter Kameren). During the 1950s, he worked in the Parisian studio, Atelier 17, of the British graphic artist Stanley William Hayter (1901-1988). At the beginning of the sixties Verdren returned from Paris to Ostend and joined the Geoform group, were we became friends with Jo Delahaut and Gilbert Decock.
He was known for his black and white geometric paintings.
